Why did you get five medals for only one run? 🤔
I got one for running the 5K two days earlier, one for running the 10K the day before, one for the half marathon, one for the challenge of running the 10K and the half in two days and one because I ran the marathon at Disney world and the half in Paris in the same year. So that is why the overload of medals. 😄
Thanks for the video! I saw my finish line! I with the Israeli flag over my head
Thank you !! ❤️
You should really try the Loch Ness Marathon in Scotland. Most of the race is run alongside Loch Ness, bagpipes at the start, generous cut-off times. Absolutely stunning scenery. Oh, and a beer (alcohol-free) as part of the goodie bag at the end. Great craic all round.
Hey buddy, did you take the same size as ultraboost?
Tks! I bought the Adidas Switch fwd, at your suggestion.
What are you wearing on your head? What is it called, brand, etc. please? Tks again!
gimbal on race is also no option ...
Interesting
I’ve done Disney 3 times and the dopey challenge once and it’s fun, but Chicago is so much better. I don’t know how it didn’t make this list
Luv Athens
Hello, it has been 1 month since I bought the shoes. There are abrasions on the inner lining of the heel of my left and right shoes. Do you think this is normal? I want to return it back, but I am worried if it can be considered a user-related problem. I hope you can answer, thank you.
I still have a hard time wrapping my head around your last Dopey being 5 years ago!
What azmanzing video I hoping to be year 26 I be there look for ward to then
What do you recommend for someone starting out?
In the short before this one I actually ‘demonstrated’ a couple of exercises that are great to do and are easy to perform anywhere. Wallsits, knee raises, squats, planks, calve raises are all great to do weather you’re a beginner or experienced runner. Over time you can increase sets or add weight. All these are good for injury prevention and help to make you a stronger and faster runner. Do you have a goal you are training for?
Ohne Frankfurt könnt ihr die Liste Abfackeln
Your marathon time should work for a POT. I think we had submit POT for marathon weekend by early July, but I could be wrong 😬 Love your training videos!
I checked and proof of time should be in. I contacted the travel agent I booked through and they seem to think they can still sort that out later. 🤞🤞
My other bit of advice, especially if you're training for a longform race, half/marathon, triathlon or any ultramarathon is to instead of buying one pair of really good shoes. Buy 2 pairs of good quality but a touch cheaper shoes and alternate them. For my last half I bought a brand new pair of Asics, but had been training in an older pair of Mizunos. I would do all my longer runs in the Asics (including race day) and all my interval/xtraining/hill runs in the Mizunos. They were still good, just wouldnt have stood up to the whole 21ish k race without causing injury somewhere. If I did it again, Id buy two at the same price, but use them for the same alternative running. Gives the inner foam a chance to reset between getting squished underfoot again.
Yes, great advice. Having more than one pair of shoes is a must if you’re doing a lot of running 👍🏻👍🏻🏃♂️🏃🏃♀️
What's your favorite brand of shoe?
It's tough to tell, but I do have a lot of different Adidas shoes. I like the UltraBoost. Do you have a favorite brand yourself?
@@RunArnoRun whichever one's are most affordable. A friend of mine knew my new hobby was jogging so he got me some Hokas for my birthday. They were hella expensive so I just bought a new 40$ pair not sure about the brand but they work very well
Running brave!
When I run I just try to have a blank mind
What is the reason for that? Is it to relax more or to keep your mind away from that your running?
@@RunArnoRun a bit of both because your mind will tell you that you’re to tired to keep going
How is the durability of the shoe , ive ordered it , thinkinh of how it it lasts ...
I’ve been using them quite a bit and have done 2 marathons in them, so I’d say the durability is pretty good 👍🏻
My two favourite medals at the moment that i have earned are a star wars one " ran solo" which is a 5km race silver medal with a 3D image of han solo in a running pose with a water bottle in his holster instead of a blaster. A running bib on his shirt and a sweat head band in his hair. My second favourite is a two sided silver medal with glow in the dark letter saying " the were wolf trail" it was 90 km.the werewolf on the back is a magnet and when you lift it up there is a full figure silhouette of a were wolf howling at the moon.
Those both sound like really amazing medals 👍🏻👍🏻
Beautiful ideas ❤❤❤
Thank you! 😊
Geweldig , heel informatief. Love your style 😄👍🏻
I hope you have an update on these shoes! Just copped switch fwd and i'm really curious as to its longevity 😊
I’ve run 2 marathons in them and plenty of long training runs and still really enjoy running in them. I’ve bought a second pair a while ago for when I wear these out, but so far they are still new in the box 😁👍🏻🏃♀️🏃🏃♂️
I'm so sorry for your loss. Pretty sure Yoda was with you in that run 🤍
Thank you so much, we still really miss him.
Weird, I wear an 11 no matter the brand, with one exception Converse All Stars is a size 10.
For me it’s only with Nike, really strange.
great review! i notice you say you size up with Nike. i have nike trainers, not running shoes and they usually fit true to size - however i have a very wide food: would you say they’re suitable for wide feet?
I don’t have wide feet, but I think they might feel a bit tight if you have real wide feet.
And in 2024?????
Let’s keep our fingers crossed for 2025. 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
Appreciate you sharing the journey and your honest feedback in the update. Clearly you're disappointed but these are the moments during the journey that make the chase and accomplishment of the goal that much more rewarding. This is only a setback if you allow it to be one. Marathons present many factors out of our control. Take the wins and build from there, you proved the doctors wrong with your knee, you built up sub 20 5k speed again and you didn't quit the race when you may have wanted - building mental toughness. Keep inspiring and we're all behind you.
Thank you so much for that. It took me a few days to get over the disappointment, but I know now that if I keep going I can get there and run the time I need to qualify for Boston. It’s just not going to happen now and I need to look forward to 2026, but I’ll get there. 👍🏻💪🏃♂️
It's ok to have those feelings. You worked really hard and the weather was out of your control. It's a huge challenge to BQ and I know you will get it someday! I had a goal of a sub 1:36 10miler in March, but there was a lot of wind and rain that day. I came a couple of seconds above it and people also said something like: but you did finish and PR'ed. Yes, but that wasn't the time I trained for. Now I can look back at it and be content with it. But I was very disappointed first. Curious to see how your BQ journey will continue! For now, rest a bit, you definitly earned that!
Thank you for that. It’s a change of plans, but I will definitely continue the journey and try for that 6th star. ⭐️
I'm not a runner, but I find people that do, their dedication in doing so, impressive. 🏃🏻♂️ 🏃🏻♀️Woo! 🎉
Thank you so much. Have you tried running? With the right build up and training it might surprise you what you can do.
This looks like so much fun! I like that it's a walking activity and you get to see neat shops and places. Love it. Very cool. 🐟 🚶🏻♀️ 🚶🏻♂️
These runs are really a lot of fun, we just did this years event and again I really enjoyed it.
can you please tell me where you get that beanie,
Hi, that is the Fennec bandana made by X-bionic. They don’t make this one anymore, but they have a new version with a visor. I’ve just ordered one of those, so I have to see if I like that one still, but this one in the video I really love. X-bionic has their own webshop, but also dealers sell their gear. So depends on where you are if it’s easy to get.
Amazing berlin marathon hope to get there next year 25
Hope you get to run it, it really is an amazing course and the people were fantastic.
Runscene i Not activ 😢
If in doubt you can always chase Herring with your best mate from London. Love ya man!
Paris Marathon should have been on this list as should Budapest.
What you describe happening during your race is very similar to the unseasonably warm Boston Marathon this year. I held PR pace for 14 miles but had to abandon that dream in favor of ensuring that I finished the race and didn't come home empty handed. It may help to think of Boston qualification as a quest in lieu of a singular race goal. It's a massive challenge and with the right preparations will come to you on the right day. You seem to be making big strides and reducing injury exposures. A well chosen Fall race is definitely worth an attempt. Your videos are enjoyable and I know that you will succeed in your journey.
Thank you so much. It was really a downer to be running knowing I wouldn't make it. Seeing it's not something I can just attempt again in a few days, I will have to see when the best time for this is. I know I worked hard for it and think I could have done it, so now I just want to go out and do it, I just don't know when yet. :-)
No BQ, and totally understand your disappointment. The mental battle is real! You had experience having run hotter marathons in Florida, so good job pushing but also using that wisdom you've gained in the past :) As Floridians, we're super proud of you finishing at that pace!
I actually kinda like running in the heat normally, but that is after having trained in it and getting used to it slowly week by week. This was just too big a change all of a sudden. I'll have to figure something out for a next race, but I'll get there. :-)
@@RunArnoRun We know you can do it!!
The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner starring a young Tom Courtney. A 1960s classic.
Running Brave, movie about 1964 Olympic 10,000m gold medalist Billy Mills, is in my top ten
Hell of a review brother thanks
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it
hi, wheelchair on finish line when you done this is me, can you send me your recording?
I probably can, I'm traveling for a marathon now until after the weekend, so I can check the footage I have when I get back. If you could send me an email after the weekend so I have your email address, I can try and get the file to you. Mine is info at runarnorun.com
Love the review Arno. I’m a bit of a Puma fan, so it’s always nice to see them get some love.
Thanks, the shoes are awesome, might have to keep an eye on Puma more now.
You are a completer not a competer...... Congrateltulation Amo. Inga DK
Thank you so much.
Good luck with your upcoming marathon. You mention cramping as a big concern. I struggled with that in my first several marathons but have managed to avoid it most of my marathons recently by taking 2 electrolyte chewable tabs every 30 minutes. Even as warm as Boston was this year, I avoided the legs cramping in tough conditions. Your strategies seem to be well chosen to take a big step forward in your pursuit of a BQ.
Thanks. I've been trying to find out what the best way is to combine the electrolyte chewables with my Maurten gels. If I should just time it by race time or time it by when I take my gels. I've emailed Maurten and they are good with getting back with answers, but that might come in after the race.
@@RunArnoRun I also use Maurten gels. I take the electrolyte tabs usually before the gels and ideally before an upcoming fluid station to wash it all down.
hopefully not to much wind in the "polder"then :)
no longer worried about wind, now worried about heat. 😂😂
@@RunArnoRun yes indeed haha
Impressive goals Arno. Good to see how much progress you have already made. I wish the best for your attempt at the qualifying time. I Will be interested in your post race analysis, and hear what training changes or gear you think might have made the most noticeable results for you.
Thanks, I've worked hard these past 2 months and feel really good, the only thing is the weather changed this week and it's going to be really warm on Sunday. That will probably really affect my run.
What about switch run in your opinion? I find it to be fabulous
I love the bounce in the shoe, it just feels very light and responsive to me, even for a long race I still love them.
